Fire protection dampers are essential components installed on the delivery and return wind pipes of ventilation and air-conditioning systems. When a fire is detected, and the gas temperature within the pipeline reaches 70°C, these dampers automatically close, ensuring compliance with smoke leakage and fire resistance standards. This mechanism acts as a formidable smoke barrier. Exhaust dampers, on the other hand, are installed within the exhaust system pipes or at the suction entrance of the exhaust fan, remaining closed under normal conditions to meet air leakage standards. When fire strikes or smoke needs to be expelled, manual and electric valves are activated to release the smoke efficiently. Typically, fire valves are installed within the ductwork of ventilation and air conditioning systems, whereas smoke exhaust fire valves are specifically installed within the smoke exhaust system ducts.
